When you request to join Newport Makerspace as a subscriber, we will send you this data policy document and a sign-up form in order to capture the information needed. It is a requirement that you read our data policy in order to become a subscriber. We use the information that you have given us in order to maintain a record of your subscription, we only request personal information that is required for this purpose. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: * We have a legitimate interest. We have a requirement to keep a minimum amount of personal information in order to maintain a subscription record. Access to your data is restricted to those that have a legitimate need to process subscription information. You may be contacted by the Secretary, Subscription Secretary, Communications Manager or the Treasurer using the information that is provided in the subscription record. ====How we store your personal information ==== Your information is securely stored in a database with restricted access. We keep information pertaining to subscription for the period of subscription. If you decide to end your subscription, we will remove all your personal information from our subscription record within 12-months. ====Your data protection rights==== Under data protection law, you have rights including: * Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. * Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. * Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. * Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. * Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. * Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
